“Since its inception, the Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance (VEGA) and IESC have collaborated closely on twelve programs that continue to improve people’s lives around the world. Through our mechanism, IESC sent 496 highly skilled volunteers to work on overseas projects and created 17,650 jobs for people in developing countries. We share a strong commitment to international volunteerism and honor many of IESC’s volunteers for their creativity, compassion, and skills. We applaud IESC’s 50th Anniversary and its continuing efforts to work within our Alliance to support economic growth and alleviate poverty.”
