SMEs get help to boost digital transformation, access finance
A workshop was held on July 26 in Hanoi to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through digital transformation and financial access. The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) along with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Experts maintained that Vietnamese firms, especially SMEs, have encountered numerous difficulties in post-pandemic recovery, and digital transformation and greater access to financial sources are prerequisites to help businesses address new challenges, expand production, and enhance competitive advantages to get more involved in both domestic and international supply chains. Most notably, the MPI has worked alongside USAID to implement the project which seeks to accelerate reforms and strengthen linkage capabilities for Small and Medium Enterprises (LinkSME), as well as initiating a scheme to support firms in promoting the digital transformation for 2021 – 2025 and gaining greater access to diverse financial sources.
