Life-Changing Eye-Tracking Technology Makes Its Way to Kazakhstan
Designed to create a lifeline for adults and children who are unable to speak or control their body movements, advanced eye tracking technologies, suche as Eyegaze Edge by LC Technologies, Ltd. allows these individuals to better connect to their world. With literally the blink of an eye users are able to speak, write, operate a computer, control appliances and more. Recognizing the benefits of such an innovation, Mr. Arman Amantevich Dilmagambetov of Sagat Pharm Ltd. and Mr. Baurzhan Baltabaevich Urazalinov of OmarLab Ltd. are working together with LC Technologies to help make this technology available throughout Kazakhstan.
The three parties were first introduced while participating in the IESC-led Kazakhstan Business Connections Healthcare Sector Business Development Tour. As the first of three development tours hosted by IESC in 2012, participants spent three weeks traveling to Washington, D.C., Chicago, IL, South Bend, IN, Charlotte, NC and New York, NY, meeting with relevant healthcare sector firms and organizations with the goal of promoting business connections between American and Kazakh organizations. The tour provided an opportunity to engage with new American interests, but for Messrs. Dilmagambetov and Urazalinov, it also opened up the possibilities of broader interactions between their own two organizations. The two men became interested in the potential applications the demonstrated products could have in Kazakhstan. A partnership formed between Sagat Pharm and OmarLab to leverage the talents of each to make the distribution of these products a reality.
Soon after the conclusion of the development tour Mr. Dilmagambetov contacted LC Technologies to invite the firm to participate in the International Medical Exhibition being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. With the help of the IESC home office and field-office staff in Almaty, representatives of LC Technologies were able to attend the exhibition and engage in more substantive discussions with Sagat Pharm that would eventually result in the signing of a distribution agreement.
Today Sagat Pharm, working with OmarLab, is now an authorized distributor of LC Technologies in Kazakhstan.
