IESC Wins Major U.S.- Egypt Trade and Investment Project
May 5, 2011
IESC was selected by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to organize the Egypt: Forward Initiative promoting trade, partnership and commercial opportunities between the United States and Egypt. The Egypt: Forward initiative will be the first major endeavor between the U.S. and Egypt since the transformative events of January 2011.
IESC, with sub-partner the Graduate School, is organizing the Egypt: Forward Forum taking place on June 27-28, 2011 in Washington, DC, which will provide an extraordinary platform for U.S. stakeholders to discuss opportunities, strengthen existing relationships and form new partnerships with key Egyptian companies and government representatives.
Following the Forum, IESC and the Graduate School will lead a 48-person delegation from Egypt’s public and private sectors to four additional cities across the U.S. for site visits focused on the energy, information and communication technology, transportation and agribusiness sectors.
This promises to be a very high-profile initiative and we look forward to the active participation of Egyptian Ministers and CEOs across the four highlighted sectors, members of Congress, and U.S. cabinet-level officials.
This new activity builds on IESC’s long history in Egypt and USTDA’s commitment to the country’s economic growth.
