IESC Statement on Ukraine
March 8, 2022
Our hearts are with the Ukrainian people fleeing their homes to get their families to safety, the vulnerable groups seeking shelter underground, and the courageous men and women defending their homeland. These tragic circumstances have already impacted global markets, disrupted financial systems, and raised food and fuel prices—effects that disproportionately impact the most vulnerable populations.
While IESC does not have current presence in Ukraine, we implemented several programs there in the 1990s and 2000s. We send our deepest sympathies to our former partners, staff, and program participants, along with our heartfelt wishes for your safety and the safety of your loved ones.
