First farmers graduate in food safety

Twenty-two farmers from Vallejuelo in the San Juan province of the Dominican Republic became the first graduates of a Farmer Field School program focused on the safety of fresh agricultural products. This training was part of the USDA-funded Trade Safe Project, which is implemented by IESC and supported by local partner the Center for Agricultural and Forestry Development (CEDAF).
