Get Involved

Volunteer

Join a global network of experts who dedicate their expertise, time, and passion to building a more prosperous, stable, and sustainable planet. Our volunteers apply the best of their abilities and skills to train young people to become successful entrepreneurs; link women small business owners to banks and buyers, and create pathways to new markets for farmers.

Do what you know and what you love in a dramatically new environment where your impact is real and the rewards are immeasurable and last a lifetime.

How it works

We are always recruiting skilled volunteer experts with a passion and commitment to do something good in the world. Here are two ways to get started:

  • Search on our Career Center to browse and apply for current assignments. Under “Employment Type” select “Volunteer” from the drop down menu and then “Save.” Then click the “Search” button to see our current assignments.
  • Submit a  General Volunteer Registration online. We search our existing database first, so if an assignment matches your skills, we will contact you.

IESC provides logistical and travel support and pays a daily stipend for meals and other expenses. We also arrange medical evacuation insurance, vaccinations, visas, and a security briefing. IESC local staff and partners will facilitate your assignment on the ground, but we remain in regular contact.
