In 1981, 44 percent of the world lived on less than $1.90 per day—now 10 percent of its citizens do. The World Bank estimates that’s 1.25 billion fewer people living in abject poverty. Since 1964, IESC volunteers have been helping turn the goal of ending extreme poverty from a distant dream into something attainable.

Our volunteers have taught thousands of enterprises around the world how to produce products and services that add value and create jobs, making lives better one community, one country at a time.

Help us wipe out extreme poverty by funding IESC's next generation of volunteers. A donation of $1,000 helps us pay the in-country costs for one volunteer for a week. A donation of $20,000 funds a small project that helps us create sustainable jobs in one needy community.

Memories made volunteering with IESC last a lifetime. Former volunteer Rudy Jansa (pictured right)—who volunteered numerous times in Russia, Macedonia, and Croatia in the 1990's—was so impressed by his experience with IESC that after his death, his wife gave IESC a very generous donation in memory of her husband. His volunteer experience with IESC meant so much to him.
