In 1981, 44 percent of the world lived on less than $1.90 per day—now 10 percent of its citizens do.
That's about 1.25 billion fewer people living in extreme poverty. Since 1964, IESC volunteers have been turning the goal of ending extreme poverty from a distant dream into something attainable.
Our volunteers have taught thousands of enterprises around the world how to produce products and services that add value and create jobs, making lives better one community, one country at a time.
Help us wipe out extreme poverty by funding IESC's next generation of volunteers. A donation of $1,000 helps us pay the in-country costs for one volunteer for a week. A donation of $20,000 funds a small project that helps us create sustainable jobs in one needy community.
But any gift will help.
Memories made volunteering with IESC last a lifetime. Rudy Jansa (pictured right) volunteered numerous times in Russia, Macedonia, and Croatia in the 1990s. Rudy was so affected by his experience with IESC that his wife gave IESC a very generous donation in memory of her husband upon his death.
For Rudy, and many others like him, the memory of a volunteer experience with IESC lasts a lifetime.
Your donation will ensure that IESC volunteers can continue to make the world a better place.
